Reflections
Market Hill High School
Initially the school was visited by two Workers from the Enabling Young Voices Project who ran two focus groups within the school one of teachers and the other of pupils researching the affects of the conflict on children’s education. Following this I was subsequently asked to attend an inset day run by the Enabling Young Voices Project in February 2005 where teachers from a variety of schools looked at ‘Handling Sensitive Issues’. We were given a choice of activities and asked to carry out some work in school After consultation with the Vice Principal we decided to set all year 8 pupils the task of writing about ‘The Troubles’ and how their family had been affected. The following is some of their work.
